Hello,
Marianne said you called to check on us last Sunday morning. Our stay at your Inn was perfect. Somehow, we goofed on our ferry times and realized on Sat. pm that we needed to leave 5:00 am on Sunday (hate that we missed breakfast).

As for our visit - I hope to return some day as I especially appreciated the drives on 542, North Fork Brew Company and of course the Inn itself. Your bath robes, slippers and down comforter were very clean, new and high quality which was a pleasant surprise. We really felt catered to and you do an excellent job with your facility. The hot tub was also one of the better ones I've used and I appreciated the cover.

Hope you have a great summer.

Dear Carole,
It gives us great pleasure to write you and thank you, and your staff, for one of the most memorable visits that we have ever had to a Bed and Breakfast in the United States. Your facility is fantastic, with staff members that take care of your every need without being obvious. The view from your lodge is breathtaking, with the mountain being close enough to touch.

Words cannot express our appreciation in finding and staying at a facility of such high caliber. We will be recommending your lodge to all who appreciate the glory of the mountains and refined living.

Keep up the good work.
As General Douglas McArthur once said: "WE WILL RETURN".

Dear Carole,
What a great surprise to find a last minute booking at your Inn in August.

The room and view were more than we expected. The view of Mt. Baker was just fantastic. The clouds cleared at night and the moonlit Mt. Baker was majestic. We stayed up watching the stars mover across the sky. We were floating across the sky in our cozy bed.

Our breakfast was just scrumptious, healthy and so filling. The meal was a multi course gourmet feast fueling us for our day's trek around the Mt. Baker area.

We were treated to a sea of blueberries at Artist point and the trails along the way. The landscape was carpeted blazing red with a bumper crop of berries. We ate and hiked to our hearts delight. We will be back again next season to experience the bountiful gift of nature.

You Inn is situated in the perfect location. We had a wonderful dinner at Milano's Restaurant was another gastronomical highlight. The food was excellent and the servings were huge! This is another must stop during any visit to Mt. Baker.

Thank you Carole for being the perfect host. Your selection of restaurants was impeccable. Diane and Bob

Dear Carol, What a wonderful stay I enjoyed on my recent visit to that piece of Eden that you are blessed to call home. Your B&B offers the perfect balance of taking care of the needs of your guests while still providing them with the utmost of personal privacy. My room was warm and comfortable - the feather bed a joy to sleep in. The private bath accommodations set a benchmark for B&B standards. My view from the bedroom was postcard PERFECT! The breakfasts were excellent in taste as well as eye appeal. And most of all your warm hospitality made me feel as if I were a small part of your beautiful mountain getaway. I came thinking I was here to attend Rebecca’s wedding and did not realize I would also have a very relaxing and wonderful mini vacation for myself. I will be back.

Dear Carole and Bill Our stay at the Inn at Mount Baker was unforgettable. It is a beautiful house with stunning views and very conveniently located for the hiking trails at Mount Baker. It was perfect to be able to walk the trails by day, dine at the Italian Restaurant on the way home and then relax in the hot tub on the deck, looking up at the mountain. Our room itself was everything we could have wished for with plenty of space, a luxurious bathroom and a so so comfortable bed offering views of Mount Baker. Breakfasts were terrific too. We loved this place and look forward to coming back. Thank you for making it so enjoyable for us. Kind regards Mark and Gill Tunnicliffe

The Inn at Mt. Baker offers the most wonderful woodland and mountain views, the most comfortable feather beds we've ever experienced, easy access to trailheads in the Mt. Baker Wilderness and North Cascades National Park, and a friendly and accommodating atmosphere and proprietorship. We had a great time and enjoyed the people we met. Returning to 110 degrees F in Phoenix was difficult!!

My boyfriend surprised me with this b and b for our anniversary, last weekend. I was very sick so we didn't go boarding, but Baker isn't too far away. The b and b itself was amazing. The rooms were big and the view was something I've never seen before. Nice big bathtub and the bed was like heaven, perfect for us staying in watching videos. The whole experience was really nice, including eating at the milanos. I really appreciated the hospitality and care from carole and bill. The house is like a dream. Wow. We're definitely going again. :)

My husband and I spent two great nights at the Inn a few weeks ago. It was fabulous and we can't wait to return! The views from the property are even better than the website pictures suggest, and everything else was just top-notch! The featherbeds, the outstanding breakfasts, and all of the personal touches made our trip very special. The Inn was so nice, we cut our Mt. Baker hiking short so we could spend more time there! If you go, you MUST have dinner at Milano's in Glacier...all I can say is wow! Alisa

My wife and I recently spent two nights at your B&B and would like to thank you again for the wonderful time! The company was great (we met some great people, and Carol is a superb hostess), had great breakfasts every morning, and enjoyed some fantastic hiking on Mt. Baker. This corner of Washington seems to have remained VERY pristine and unsullied, and we both look forward to returning to the best B&B we've ever visited. It seems hardly possible, but it was even better than your pictures indicated!

Our family of seven adults recently stayed at the Inn and we can't recommend it enough. It was a great place for a family reunion. The food and view are excellent. Carole and Bill are wonderful hosts--they make you feel at home and well taken care of. We were amazed at the number of really good restaurants in the area. We all agreed that this was the best B&B we've stayed at -- it was hard to leave, and we all hope to return some day!

We had a simply spectacular time! The inn is wonderful. What a view! Of course Carole and Bill ordered us up perfect weather on our two days spent. Carole's breakfasts were scrumptious (thanks for the granola recipe). We had the best experience trying our hands (feet) at snowshoeing. We even came home with healthy sunburns. Just got back home after staying there this past weekend. What a wonderful place. How you found that view, we'll never know. Our bedroom window perfectly framed the view of the river valley and the mountain. We visited the inn with another couple last week and all of us agreed that it was very special place in an exquisite location. Not only is the inn itself lovely, the atmosphere created by innkeepers Carol MacDonald and Ed Snyder is one of relaxed and elegant luxury. The rooms are airy, their spaciousness is comfortably welcoming with stunning views of Mt. Baker and, in our case, the Nooksack River. The breakfasts are delicious and certainly enough for the biggest appetites. Its location just outside of the Mt. Baker Wilderness Area puts this establishment in one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited with lovely hiking trails for all fitness levels. We plan to return in the fall!

I was impressed by the web-site when I made our reservations. I have had the experience in the past of actual destinations not living up to their advertised status, but, I am happy to report, in the case of the Inn at Mt. Baker, the actual Inn was more wonderful than promised. Our stay was memorable and we plan to bring our over-worked friends to the Inn for a relaxing weekend in the future. Thanks!

This place is dazzling--a destination unto itself. Who needs to ski when you can just BE, in a spot as perfect as this? We spent hours just gaping meditatively out at the mountain. Worth twice the rate charged... We don't even LIKE the typical B and B experience, but this one is half home, half heaven. All the decor and amenities are so thoughtfully chosen--we even found ourselves ogling the lamps and light fixtures! Yet the hosts don't hover or make guests feel that the facility is more important than they are. The Zen-like ambiance is guaranteed to soothe. Back again as soon as we can! Liz

On May 1, we spent an outstanding day and night in a beautiful room with a great view of Mt. Baker and a couple of hours in the best spa in the state. Carole and Bill are great people and provide a breakfast that defines "delicious", plus some very interesting conversation while eating their breakfast. It's always better when the company is good and they are terrific. We will be back.
